To Bainbridge Islander Beverly Gimlin, it seems impossible to live in the Northwest as an artist and not confront its mood, drama, and mystery. Her paintings are inspired by the darkness on Bainbridge Island before daybreak, the colors of our seasons, the veil of fog and drizzle, the light on the waters of Puget Sound. Beverly earned her MFA in Painting with High Distinction at the California College of Arts and Crafts.
Her work is included in the corporate collections of Union Carbide, Kaiser Permanente, and Sybex, Inc., and in personal collections in the United States and London. For this show, she has created a body of work she calls Seasons, acrylic paintings that are inspired by the colors and light of the four seasons.
